The Consiliul Naţional al Audiovizualului (regulatory authority for the electronic media in Romania - CNA ) has submitted to the lower house of the Romanian Parliament a proposal to amend the current Audiovisual Act ( Legea audiovizualului Nr. 504 din 11 iulie 2002 ). One of the key changes suggested by the CNA is an increase in the penalties laid down in the current Act, which range from ROL 50 to 500 million (RON 500 to 5,000), to penalties ranging from ROL 500 million to 1 billion (RON 5,000 to 100,000). Thirty-two representatives of Romanian state institutions and organisations with responsibility in the copyright field have signed an agreement founding an institutionalised working group. At the end of May the Consiliul Naţional al Audiovizualului (Romanian National Audiovisual Council - CNA) granted Dogan Media International an audiovisual licence to transmit Channel D television by satellite. The Consiliul Naţional al Audiovizualului (Romanian National Audiovisual Council - CNA)has stipulated in a recommendation to all Romanian broadcasters that “separate levying of import duties should be subject to a conformity criterion that will in future allow the acceptance of television advertisements using a type size different from that of accompanying text information”. The CNA thus accepts that until 1 January 2007, in television advertising for cars “price information that includes all duties and taxes will appear in type half the size of that used for price information omitting these details”.... |
