Austrian-based broadcasters are obliged to make financial contributions to the national broadcasting and telecommunications regulator Rundfunk- und Telekom Regulierungs-GmbH (RTR-GmbH). RTR-GmbH uses this income to cover its own costs and those of KommAustria, the first instance regulatory body for private broadcasters. Only companies with particularly small turnovers are exempt from making these payments. IRIS 2005-1:1/10 [AT] Federal Communications Office Considers Right to Short Reporting of Bundesliga Matches

Pay-TV broadcaster Premiere acquired the exclusive rights to cover the Austrian football Bundesliga in 2004. Previously, Österreichische Rundfunk (ORF) used to broadcast around 7 minutes of highlights covering all Bundesliga matches as well as showing important matches in full. IRIS 2004-10:1/73 [AT-IT] Films Co-Production Agreement between Austria and Italy

On 24 April 1968 a Co-Production Agreement was signed between Austria and Italy. It entered into force on 1 July 1968. The Agreement applies to full length films and to short films which are artistically or culturally significant and made by Austrian and Italian producers jointly. Producers from third countries may join the co-production, if their country is linked to Austria or Italy by a films co-production agreement. On 2 February 1970 a Co-Production Agreement was signed between Austria and Spain. It entered into force on 3 April 1970. The Agreement applies to full length films and to short films, made by one or more Austrian producers together with one or more Spanish producers.
