On 24 April 1968 a Co-Production Agreement was signed between Austria and Italy. It entered into force on 1 July 1968.
The Agreement applies to full length films and to short films which are artistically or culturally significant and made by Austrian and Italian producers jointly. Producers from third countries may join the co-production, if their country is linked to Austria or Italy by a films co-production agreement.
Financial participation shall be at least 20%, in the case of multilateral co-productions at least 10% of the total cost of the film.
