The Finnish Consumer Agency, the Consumer Ombudsman and the National Public Health Institute have drafted recommendations as a guide for advertisers when marketing foodstuffs to children. IRIS 2004-10:1/59 [FR-FI] Films Co-Production Agreement between France and Finland

On 2 February 1983, a Co-Production Agreement was signed between France an Finland. It entered into force on 4 March 1983. The Agreement applies to cinematographic works (full-length as well as short films) made by one or more French (or resident in France) producers together with one or more Finnish (or resident in Finland) producers. On 16 June 2004, the Sähköisen viestinnän tietosuojalaki (Act on Data Protection in Electronic Communications) was ratified. It entered into force on 1 September 2004. IRIS 2004-9:1/18 [FI] Higher Television Licence Fees in Finland as of 1 January 2005

The Council of State decree of 23 June 2004 (Valtioneuvoston asetus televisiomaksuista) increases the amount ot the television licence fee paid by households as of 1 January 2005. In Finland the television licence fee is called the television fee. The new television licence fee is EUR 193,95 for twelve months, EUR 97,60 for six months and EUR 49,35 for three months. On 13 June 2003 the Laki sananvapauden käyttämisestä joukkoviestinnässä ( Act on the Exercise of Freedom of Expression in Mass Media) was ratified. The Act repeals the Painovapauslaki (Freedom of the Press Act, 1/1919) and the Radiovastuulaki (Broadcasting Liability Act, 219/1971). The Act entered into force on 1 January 2004.
