On 11 February 2000 a Co-Production Agreement has been signed between Germany and Spain. It entered into force on 13 December 2000, replacing the preceding agreement of 3 May 1956. Financial contribution of a co-producer shall be at least 20%. Multilateral co-productions are possible; here the minority participation must not be less than 10% and the majority participation must not exceed 70% of the total production cost. On 6 June 1984 a Co-Production Agreement has been signed between Germany and Switzerland. It entered into force on 28 February 1986. Those involved in the making of the film must be Swiss/residents in Switzerland, and Germans/residents in Germany respectively.
