In a judgment of 29 March 2016, the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Bédat v. The Swiss Government has submitted an important bill revising national legislation on copyright for consultation by 31 March 2016. Swiss telecommunications provider Swisscom is under threat of a sanction under cartel law because of its controversial handling of exclusive rights for the broadcast of certain sports events.
