The Autoritatea Electorală Permanentă (Permanent Electoral Authority - AEP) finalised the draft of an Electoral Code, which includes provision for all types of elections and referenda taking place in Romania. In December 2010 the Centrul Naţional al Cinematografiei (National Cinematography Centre - CNC) announced that the applications for the second 2010 direct subsidising session for Romanian film productions and the development of cinematographic projects could be submitted until 31 January 2011 (see IRIS 2010-7/34). On 14 December 2010, the European Commission approved under EU State aid rules a Romanian scheme to support the development of the film industry, culture and cinematographic education in the amount of EUR 80.68 million (RON 347 million; see IRIS 2006-3/35).
