On 19 June 2012, the Romanian Chamber of Deputies (lower Chamber of the Parliament) rejected by a large majority a Bill on the revision and modification of Law no. 196/2003 on preventing and fighting pornography. The Irish Data Protection Commissioner has lodged an appeal to the Supreme Court against a High Court decision in EMI v. Data Protection Commissioner. On 4 July 2012, the European Parliament rejected the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA). During the plenary session, 478 Members of the Parliament voted against, 165 abstained and 39 voted in favour.
