On 21 September 2000 the European Parliament endorsed the proposals on jurisdiction in electronic commerce disputes. This proposal for a council regulation (COM 1999/348, 99/0154) was presented by the Commission on 14 July 1999. It replaces and updates the 1968 Brussels Convention on jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgements.
