In 2013, the Director General of Czech TV issued a Directive that provides guidelines concerning Czech TV’s coverage of the period prior to the Czech national parliamentary elections of 25 and 26 October 2013. On 28 August 2013, the government of the Czech Republic approved the new Statute of the Státního fondu kinematografie (SFK - State Cinematography Fund). The SFK was created on 1 January 2013 pursuant to the Act No. 496/2012 Coll. on audiovisual works and promoting cinema and amending certain laws (see IRIS 2013-2/15).
