The Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic has established criteria for appraising the distinction between advertising and sponsoring in its ruling dated 30 November 2006. On 6 March 2007, the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic issued its verdict in a case concerning the use of television and radio receivers in restaurants. Liberty Global, which owns the Czech Republic's largest cable network operator UPC Česká republika, has bought the second largest cable network operator in the Czech market, Karneval, for EUR 322.5 million. The new company therefore has 800,000 customers.
