On 18 May 2012, the Bulgarian Radio and Television Act (RTA) was amended and supplemented. The amendments came into effect on 1 July 2012. In accordance with the amendments, the Council for Electronic Media (CEM) is assisted in the performance of its activities by an administration, carried out by civil servants and persons working under employment contracts regulated by the Labour Code.
