IRIS 2009-6:1/7 [BA] RAK Report on Violations of its Rules and Regulations

The Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK) has presented its annual report for 2008, in the form of an overview on the violations of its rules and regulations. In total 39 decisions have been issued. Of these, 35 relate to broadcasting and 4 to the telecommunications sector. During the reported period, the RAK examined 169 cases of possible breaches of its rules and regulations. IRIS 2009-5:1/10 [BA] The Use of the Internet Is in Expansion

The Communications Regulatory Agency (CRA/RAK) recently published its 2008 report on the Internet in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are currently 66 Internet service providers (ISPs) legally registered in the country. According to the information available, provided by 62 of those ISPs, there are 336,163 Internet subscribers and approximately 1.3 million Internet users. IRIS 2009-3:1/5 [BA] Switchover to Digital Broadcasting on the Agenda

The Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) Forum, as an ad hoc body working under the auspices of the Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK), was entrusted with preparing a comprehensive plan for the transition from analogue to digital terrestrial television in Bosnia and Herzegovina (see: IRIS 2008-5: 3).
