IRIS 2005-2:1/34 [MK] Distribution of Licence Fee Revenue

On 15 December 2004, the Broadcasting Council of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia announced a provisional decision on the allocation of licence fee revenue to radio and TV productions of public interest. A total of 167 projects were chosen to receive funding, which will support 56 TV projects, 43 radio projects and 14 film productions. So far, less than 10% of the funds have gone to film productions. The main beneficiaries will be Macedonian- and Albanian-language productions, although some minority language films will also receive support (Roma, Turkish, Bosnian).

IRIS 2005-1:1/45 [IT/MK] Agreement on Film Co-production between Italy and Macedonia

On 15 November 2002, the Republic of Italy and “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” signed a film co-production agreement. The aim of the agreement is to improve the basic conditions for film co-productions between the two countries, irrespective of whether a fiction, animated or documentary film is involved. IRIS 2004-10:1/89 [FR-MK] Films Co-Production Agreement between France and Macedonia

On 27 October 1975, France and Yugoslavia signed a Co-Production Agreement, which entered into force on 21 September 1977, replacing the precedent Agreement of 7 July 1954. After the dissolution of Yugoslavia, the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, as a successor state, has agreed with France to keep on applying the agreement and to maintain it in force. IRIS 2004-10:1/46 [DE-MK] Films Co-Production Agreement between Germany and Macedonia

On 23 February 1972, Germany and Yugoslavia had signed a Cinematographic Agreement, which entered into force on 24 February 1972, replacing the preceding agreement of 19 July 1957. In January 1994 Germany has agreed with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, as a successor state, to keep on applying the agreement and to maintain it in force. IRIS 2003-7:1/37 Eurimages: The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Joins Eurimages

As from 1 July 2003, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia will become a member of Eurimages, the Council of Europe's support fund for the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinematographic works. The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is the 29th country to join Eurimages, since the Fund's establishment in 1988.
