The Macedonian Parliament amended the Law on Broadcasting in order to ensure a stable financing of the Public Broadcasting Service, Macedonian Radio and Television (MRT), which has been suffering from underfunding for years. The latest amendments to the Broadcasting Law increase the number of members of the Macedonian independent media regulatory authority ‘Broadcasting Council’ from nine to fifteen.
