On 24 July 1968 a Co-Production Agreement was signed between Italy and Sweden. It entered into force on the same day.

The Agreement applies to full length films; there are special rules for short films.

Producers from third countries that are linked to Italy or Sweden by a co-production agreement can join the co-production.

Financial contribution of a co-producer shall generally be at least 30% - as an exception, 25%. In the case of multilateral co-productions, 20% are the minimum).
