On 6 March 1968, a Co-Production Agreement was signed between France and Czechoslovakia. It entered into force on 17 September 1968. After the dissolution of the ČSSR, the Agreement is upheld between France and the Czech Republic as the Successor State.

The Agreement applies to cinematographic works made by one or more French producers in conjunction with one or more Czech producers. Third country producers may join the co-production, if their country is linked to both France and the Czech Republic by a films co-production agreement.

Financial contribution shall be at least 30%.
