On 24 January, Estonia ratified the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and the amending Protocol. On 24 February 2000, Cyprus submitted its instrument of ratification of the Protocol to the Council of Europe and on 15 March 2000 Bulgaria followed. Aside from these three countries the Protocol has also been accepted by Liechtenstein and Slovenia. In Switzerland approval has been signalled by the Swiss Council of Ministers while ratification still lies with the Swiss Parliament (see IRIS 2000-1: 4).
