On 27 February, a bill on a new model for appointing members to the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, DR board of directors, was put forward in the Danish parliament. On 30 May 2024 the Danish Parliament passed a bill on Certain Media Service Providers’ Contribution to Promote Danish Culture (the Act), with entry into force on 1 July.
