The Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA) approved the amendments made to the Broadcasting Code on December 2017. The Broadcasting Code was first drafted and approved in 2014 by the regulator. In 2017, the Council of Complaints, the body in charge of public complaints related to ethics in broadcasting programmes, started a revision process of this Code. The Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA) issued a statement on November 22, asking television stations to stop broadcasting an advertising spot by a private insurance company. The regulator acted after receiving complaints and took the decision after watching the advertising spot.
