In 2020, IRIS reported on a range of legislative proposals from the Slovenian government relevant to the media sector. IRIS 2021-1:1/26 [SI] Update on the third draft AVMS law and the establishment of a European Audiovisual Production Fund

On 6 July 2020, the Slovenian Ministry of Culture ( Ministrstvo za kulturo) published a draft proposal for amending the Law on Audiovisual Media Services (see IRIS 2020-9/12).  A first consultation closed in August, and the Ministry of Culture re-drafted sections of the law and extended the consultation on the draft until 2 October 2020.
